I am an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor, working in private practice from comfortable rooms in Blackheath/Lewisham, London SE13 and Dalston/Hackney, London E8.
I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental therapeutic space for you to explore in confidence whatever it is that has brought you to counselling. I have experience working with a range of issues, including: anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, low self-esteem, trauma, addictive behaviours, cultural and sexual identity, bereavement and loss.
Taking time to reflect on things in therapy can help to give you a different perspective and understand yourself better. Through establishing a warm, collaborative relationship I can support you to address the issues you are facing, helping you to feel more able to trust yourself. Working together in this way will allow you to begin the process of change.
My approach is integrative and relational, drawing on my training in humanistic therapies in order to support you in the best way possible.
I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling using the Arts. I am currently continuing in advanced clinical training in Relational Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework. I am also a member of the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA), the International Association of Relational Transactional Analysis (IARTA) and Metanoia Institute.
I work with individuals and couples, offering both short and long-term therapy, and have worked with clients from a diverse range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I also co-facilitate creative therapeutic groups.
I have regular clinical supervision to support my work, and attend Continuing Professional Development training (CPD) in order to ensure my skills and knowledge are up to date.
To find out more about how I might be able to help you, or to book an initial session, please contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I look forward to hearing from you.
